Celebrating Children in Honduras

Ron and Jamie (on-site Program Directors of Care4Communities), along with local teachers of Care4Communities Desmy and Sabino, worked hard with the kids of our “Mazapan” court and school to celebrate the Honduran holiday “Children’s Day.”  The celebration here on the court did wonders!  Kids had the opportunity to just be kids.  Older teens had the opportunity to serve in their community- to be the leaders of tomorrow.  Kids matter to Care4Communities and this is one example of how we show our love.   Even on a shoe-string budget, all things are possible.  Thank you to all who have lifted up this organization and this community in Honduras in your prayers, have given financially, and who have visited and helped there personally.  This community and group of kids are being mentored and schooled and change is happening!  We are seeing long term change, which does take time.  This is the sort of change that sticks!!!!!

Thank you again supporters of Care4Communities!  Without your support and willingness to share your gifts with this community in Honduras, leaders would not be emerging at the rate they are.  Big things are happening.  To those of you residing locally in Durango, Colorado, Kerry and Mike Tichi (Founders of Care4Communities) will be presenting a slide show, sharing with you what these big things are.  Save the date:  Saturday evening, Oct. 15th, 2013
